Marketing in Social Networks
On Saturday I went to a party called "Life in Color". On Sunday my father asked me how did I find out about it; if it was because of the Social Networks, and i started to think that that was indeed the way i found out. Actually there wasn't any advertisement in the street walls, malls or anything. Facebook was the principal source of commercial and marketing for this party, and it had a big call on people, because there was 20.400 people confirmed in the Facebook's event and all the tickets were sold in one day. I think it's big deal because it was the only source of announcement, it became a "viral" advertising in the social networks and spread between young people across the country. I was one of them, i found out about the event on Facebook and because of that i went to this party. I feel like if i hadn't seen it on this, i would not have attended to it. Facebook, Twitter and all the social networks have an important impact on people, informations, news and decisions through the advertising and marketing.

Interesting development indeed. As you have described now an event that used the social media, please do elaborate more on this matter.
ResponderEliminarFirst by relating this kind of promotions to the theory and models from the course literature.
Secondly can you elaborate more on how the Facebook ads were targeted, as that platform is also used by the “dads and mams” generation. I enclose a link to an article from the guardian on the tendency amongs teenachers to move away from Facebook:

What is your view on the way eventorganizers could improve their marketing efforts? How much do they know, in your view, about their audience?
